美國式的圣誕節(jié)英文作文
Christmas in America
Christmas is the most important festival in the western world. It falls on December 25th. When my mother and I stayed in America, we were invited by one of my mother＇s friends to have Christmas with an American family. We bought some presents for our American friends on our way to their house.
They had prepared different kinds of gifts for their family and guests when we got to their house, such as Christmas candles, cakes, cards, little toys, biscuits and so on. A Christmas tree was placed in the comer of the brilliant hall. How beautiful it was! We were impressed by these. We had a big meal.
After dinner, they told us some interesting stories about Christmas. We learned that Christmas had something to do with God. We went to bed at midnight. Though we knew the Santa Claus was not true, we were still waiting for the Santa Claus with white beard to bring us presents.And we received many beautiful presents the next morning.This Christmas was really unforgettable. Not only did I have a good time, but also I knew something about foreign culture.
12月25日的圣誕節(jié)是西方國家最重要的節(jié)日。我和媽媽在美國的時(shí)候，曾應(yīng)媽媽的一位朋友邀請，去一個(gè)美國家庭過圣誕節(jié)。在去他家的途中，我們?yōu)槊绹笥奄I了一些禮物。
我們到時(shí)，他們已為家人及客人們準(zhǔn)備了各種各樣的禮物，有圣誕蠟燭、蛋糕、卡片、小玩具和餅干等。圣誕樹放在燈火通明的客廳的一角，實(shí)在是太莢了。這一切給我們留下了深刻的印象。我們吃了一頓大餐。飯后，他們給我們講了一些圣誕節(jié)的故事，我們知道了圣誕節(jié)與上帝有關(guān)。我們午夜時(shí)分才上床睡覺。盡管我們知道圣誕老人不是真的，但還是等待著白胡子的圣誕老人為我們送來禮物。第二天早晨我們收到了許多漂亮的禮物。
這個(gè)圣誕節(jié)實(shí)在太令人難以忘懷了。我不僅過得很愉快，還了解了外國文化。
