On the Popularity of Internet-based Instruction
With the rapid development of information technology, there is a boom in Internet-based instruction. Most of the universities offer online courses which have gained much popularity among students nowadays.
This new way of teaching brings many advantages. Firstly, it gives much convenience and freedom to students. Students can study at any time and any place as they like, even in pajamas. Secondly, it is very economical because students are not required to come to the campus, and schools can cut the expenditure on electricity and water supply, doorkeepers’ payment, park lots maintenance and so on. But online learning has drawbacks as well. One of them is that there is no effective way to ensure that students make the required efforts.
As for me, I prefer the traditional way of teaching. The face-to-face communication with teachers can give me more encouragement to learn. As a matter of fact, the direct guidance and class interaction benefit me a lot.

隨著信息技術(shù)的迅猛發(fā)展，基于網(wǎng)絡(luò)的教育也迅速發(fā)展起來(lái)。許多大學(xué)都開設(shè)了網(wǎng)絡(luò)課程，并且現(xiàn)在這種課程在許多大學(xué)生中大受歡迎。
這種新的教育模式有很多的優(yōu)點(diǎn)，首先，它使學(xué)生們的學(xué)習(xí)更加自由、方便。學(xué)生們可以按照自己的喜好選擇在任何時(shí)間、任何地點(diǎn)學(xué)習(xí)，甚至穿著睡衣學(xué)習(xí)都無(wú)妨。其次，這種學(xué)習(xí)方法成本低。 學(xué)生無(wú)須到校園里來(lái)，因此學(xué)校也就節(jié)省了電費(fèi)、水費(fèi)、看門人的報(bào)酬、停車場(chǎng)的維護(hù)費(fèi)用等等開支。但是，網(wǎng)絡(luò)教育也有自身的缺陷。其中之一就是，沒(méi)有行之有效的辦法可以確保學(xué)生在學(xué)習(xí)中付出必要的努力。
就我自己而言，我喜歡傳統(tǒng)的教學(xué)方式。同老師面對(duì)面的交流能使我?jiàn)^進(jìn)。實(shí)際上，老師的直接指導(dǎo)和師生課堂互動(dòng)使我獲益匪淺。
