春節(jié)是我國(guó)的傳統(tǒng)節(jié)日，人們把春節(jié)叫做過(guò)年。在我的家鄉(xiāng)潮州，過(guò)年就有一些特別的風(fēng)俗。
在除夕之前，人們都要忙著四件事：謝神、備料做粿、掃舍和買年貨。潮俗，每年冬至過(guò)后，家里要謝神。備料做“紅桃發(fā)粿”。是將大米和糯米分別浸于水中幾小時(shí)，使米質(zhì)松疏，撈干后于石臼中打成細(xì)粉，曬干。這就是做“紅桃法粿”的主料。掃舍要選擇吉日，是一件不尋常的事。是日，各家主婦最忙，把屋子的里里外外打掃干凈，對(duì)一些長(zhǎng)年少用之物都要清洗。
十二月二十四日，就是傳說(shuō)中的“神上天”之期。是日，家家戶戶都要拜“糖桃”。一方紅紙，上面用軟糖擺成一粒桃子的形態(tài)，成為“糖桃”。此物沾住“杜王爺”的嘴，讓其“上天說(shuō)好話，落地保平安”。過(guò)年還要拜“老爺”，也就是祭神。祭神的祭品有三樣：“紅桃發(fā)粿”、“鼠殼粿”、“菜頭粿”。“紅桃發(fā)粿”就是用綠豆去殼，然后把豆磨成粉，接著蒸熟，做粿餡料。“菜頭粿”就是蘿卜糕。
過(guò)年祭祖，要到除夕日下午。過(guò)年，家里已成年有收入的小輩，要給長(zhǎng)輩送“壓歲錢”，長(zhǎng)輩也要對(duì)未成年的小輩給“壓歲錢”，戶戶如此，體現(xiàn)了尊老惜幼的美德。
在正月里，潮汕地區(qū)都游神祈福的活動(dòng)，就是把廟里面的神座抬到大街上游行，人們要放鞭炮、燒香、接福。這就是潮州春節(jié)的習(xí)俗。
